This 3-hour course focuses on the ways that reflexology can be used to complement the effectiveness of other bodywork modalities. Topics include a brief history of this discipline; a review of the reflexology foot map including the 4 horizontal lines and 10 vertical zones; and common contraindications. Reflexology-based assessment methods and effective treatment planning are reviewed, and demonstration includes common foot reflexology techniques to address specific anatomical areas and bodily systems. Supervised practice reinforces lecture and practical application of techniques.
