First Aid & CPR Training
Taught by real-world first responders, this comprehensive First Aid and CPR course combines lecture, discussion, and—most importantly—hands-on skills practice. Skills are applied in real-world situations and emergencies that participants are learning to manage. This real-world perspective ensures that lessons go beyond theory, helping students understand how to handle scale emergencies.
Because this program emphasizes hands-on practice of life-saving techniques and scenario-based learning, participants build both the knowledge and confidence to act capably in real emergencies.
Captain Will Fox is a New York State Certified EMS Instructor and Instructor Coordinator. He is the creator and a lead instructor of the Wellness and Physical Training component of the Recruit Firefighter Training Program at the New York State Academy of Fire Science. A firefighter, paramedic, EMS, and Fire Service educator with more than 18 years of emergency response experience, he serves as a volunteer firefighter/paramedic with the Trumansburg Fire Department and as a Captain with the Cortland Fire Department. Drawing from extensive real-world experience, he is passionate about teaching practical, lifesaving skills that help people respond confidently and effectively in emergencies
